The trailer for the film “Fatal Charm”, which follows four lifelong best friends who at age 17 are the members of the Catholic school’s popular emo-speed metal band “Fatal Charm.” Emerging from the echoing halls and banging locker doors of a Los Angeles high school in 1996 ,it follows Orlando Ravelo and singer / guitarist George Nakhla, joined with classmates Steven De Luna on bass and Michael La Penza on guitar to form a bulwark for the Zero Tolerance generation (and generally raise a little hell in the process). Influenced by bands such as Korn and the Deftones, they began creating emotionally-charged hard-core music drawing from both the commonality of their American experience and from their Mexican-Indian, Egyptian, Italian, and Cuban backgrounds. Together, forever, they go into the studio to record. This is the beginning of the transition from the idyll of high school stardom through the first years after graduation, when their intense friendships face the classic post-graduation drift.
