Disarm HateDocumentary2020 Director: Julianna Brudek Producer: Rj Holguin | Derek James Hoppe Rugged Entertainment Role: Editing Consultant Three years ago, the news of Pulse Orlando nightclub shocked and devastated the LGBTQ community. One man, a hairdresser and activist from New Jersey, Jason Hayes, decided to do something. Without experience, money or celebrity backing, he began organizing a national rally for gun violence prevention and LGBTQ civil rights to be held in Washington D.C only two months after Pulse. He called the rally DISARM HATE. Meanwhile, on the other side of the map, nine strangers from Los Angeles, made it their life's mission to get to DISARM HATE to stand behind Jason. Along the way, they stopped at sites where other LGBTQs were murdered with firearms in order to have a discussion about two of America's most polarizing past times: hate and guns. As the group opens up, they learn about themselves, the struggles within their own community, and how gun violence has ravaged our country and our lives, across all cultural, and racial lines. Disarm Hate--the Film is a call to action for anyone new to activism, tired of divisive media politics, and ready to get out and make the world a better place. Not by taking away our Constitutional rights, but by spreading knowledge, understanding and compassion in a world where it is lacking. Edited by Daniela Hinsch |

With Los Angeles as the backdrop, the story spans the course of one day and we learn quickly that Jack Smith chomps down prescription drugs (Adderall, Ritalin, Vicodin, and Viagra) like a kid with a package of starbursts. Sweet Old WorldFilm Narrative Feature2012 Director: David Zeiger Producer: Vangie Griego Displaced Films Role: Editor Sweet Old World tells the fictional story of a father (Brian) and teenage son (Ethan) whose lives were shattered when the son's brother was killed in an accident seven years earlier. Both trapped in their own private grief and pain, their relationship has grown strained and cold over the years. The return of the dead son's best friend causes Brian and Ethan's carefully constructed protective shells to shatter-bringing them both to the brink of disaster. Throughout, the story is driven by Ethan, whose new-found, and seemingly uncharacteristic willingness to flirt with danger under the influence of his brother's friend forces Brian to confront his own buried grief. The film blends the fictional characters into the real-life, South Pasadena (CA) High School Marching Band, which '...lends the film a greater sense of realism than more glossy Hollywood productions about teens deliver.' Reviews: Access Atlanta Filmicability |

Fatal CharmDocumentary2005 Director: Harlan Steinberger Producer: Randi Steinberger/Hen House Studios Hen House Studios Role: Co-Editor and Post Producer The trailer for the film "Fatal Charm", which follows four lifelong best friends who at age 17 are the members of the Catholic school's popular emo-speed metal band "Fatal Charm." Emerging from the echoing halls and banging locker doors of a Los Angeles high school in 1996 ,it follows Orlando Ravelo and singer / guitarist George Nakhla, joined with classmates Steven De Luna on bass and Michael La Penza on guitar to form a bulwark for the Zero Tolerance generation (and generally raise a little hell in the process). Influenced by bands such as Korn and the Deftones, they began creating emotionally-charged hard-core music drawing from both the commonality of their American experience and from their Mexican-Indian, Egyptian, Italian, and Cuban backgrounds. Together, forever, they go into the studio to record. This is the beginning of the transition from the idyll of high school stardom through the first years after graduation, when their intense friendships face the classic post-graduation drift. Directed and produced by Harlan and Randi Steinberger. Edited by Lindsay Mofford and Mimi Lipson Post Produced by Tucker Stilley and Lindsay Mofford HenHouse Studios Production |

What commenced was an in-depth look at a veteran musical group during its sometimes painful reincarnation phase.
